The Synthes Epoca Shoulder Prosthesis System

The Epoca Shoulder Prosthesis System offers multiple implant options for the fixation of the proximal humerus and glenoid. The multiple implant options allow surgeons to customize the prosthesis to the patient. The Epoca prosthesis is intended to restore normal or near normal glenohumeral range of motion and the function of the rotator cuff.* The Epoca prosthesis reconstructs the proximal humerus while accounting for anatomical variables such as the dimension and the relative position of the head to the shaft.

The implant consists of three components: the stem, the eccenter and the head. A glenoid component is available for total joint arthroplasty. These components can be independently combined and positioned relative to each other to reconstruct the function of the glenohumeral joint.

Viewers will be able to send live emails to the surgeons during the procedure. Please check back next week to pre-register to view this webcast.
