Green Office and IAQ challenges. Indoor Air Quality Management - Free Webinar

(www2.gotomeeting.com)

A healthy workplace starts with healthy air
Types of indoor air pollution include mold, smoke; carbon monoxide and other common indoor air pollutants are microbial contaminants, gases, VOCs, particulates (PM), allergens and other toxins that can induce adverse health conditions.
When trapped and recirculated, these pollutants accumulate over time and can have a serious, long-term adverse effect on occupant health. Symptoms linked to poor IAQ are headaches, dizziness, eye, nose, or throat irritation resulting from a single exposure, or over an extended time frame.
Building renovations to increase efficiency and reduce heat loss often come with the side effect of trapping more indoor air pollutants. Sources of indoor air pollution commonly found in most offices and include building materials, paint, furnishings, electronic equipment, printer ink, carpets, dirty ventilation systems, cleaning products etc.
Airborne pollutants can be mitigated with source control, a preventive IAQ management program and an industrial air cleaner with a filtration system that targets particles, pathogens, chemicals, odors, gases and fumes.
IAQ is not achieved by addressing only one area of concern; it is the result of attention to many areas including source control – ventilation - humidity – filtration.
