Domestic or family violence has a life-long impact on all family members, especially children and youth. We will begin with an overview of domestic violence, then discuss and learn what the effects are at various developmental stages and how this impacts children's relationships with foster and adoptive families. We will also discuss what signs to look for in the children and youth and examine best practice for therapeutic services.
