According to a study published by the CDC in 2007, two out of three adults with diabetes die as result of heart disease or stroke. In addition, the diabetic population’s is three times more likely to develop hypertension when compared to the non-diabetic population. During this 6 week webinar series we will review the metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia, hypertension, nutrition, and the impacts of physical activity on heart disease. We will discuss a variety of interventions including those for obesity, smoking cessation, nutritional therapy, increased physical activity, blood glucose control and more.
