Move Over Rover, Heartworm is No Longer Just a Dog Disease

Cats get heartworms, too. It’s a common misconception that our feline friends are not at risk for heartworms. Although heartworm is often considered a canine disease, it turns out that cats are also at risk for heartworm. During this seminar, Dr. Nelson will review the epidemiology and pathogenesis of feline heartworm as well as some new research findings. He will also provide a clinical perspective on diagnostic and preventative strategies and industry recommendations for treating infected patients.
