Patient Centered Medical Homecare: Implications for Occupational Medicine

The Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is a rapidly evolving approach to providing high quality, cost-effective healthcare delivery. It incorporates prevention, behavioral health and primary care delivering a strong foundation for care in America. Most believe it is an important component of a comprehensive health reform strategy. The membership of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine should be keenly aware of this concept and its application. With each passing day members of our college are increasingly being asked to assist human resource departments with improving the health status of workforces. This challenge is extending well beyond traditional occupational illness and exposure issues. Those physicians knowledgeable about the importance of the medical home and the value of trusted clinician relationships will be best positioned to partner with HR leaders and direct employers most appropriately. This webinar will provide the participant with a general overview of the concepts and rationale for PCMH, as well as the important perspectives of employers and providers alike.

Formal presentations will be followed by a 15-20 minutes of Q&A to answer your questions.
