Using Networking Opportunities To Reach Diverse Donors

Donor Diversity has become a top priority at New York Blood Center. In an effort to achieve a blood supply that reflects the multicultural community, NYBC has launched a Diversity Recruitment Committee, a MetLife Foundation Donor Coach geared towards collecting blood in diverse and underserved communities, and the "check the box" initiative to encourage donors to indicate their race upon donating blood. The speakers will share ways to select events that can lead to opportunities and resources for awareness and increased collections.
