Diabetes Potpourri 2010: A Summary of Several Current Issues in the Management of Diabetes

This program will provide a literature-based review of several current issues facing the management of diabetes mellitus. Based on the results of recent clinical trials, some significant changes to the management of diabetes mellitus either have or appear likely to occur soon. It is important that pharmacists are attuned to this information and apprised of these changes so pharmacists can work with a patient's healthcare team to optimize care.
Pharmacists Educational Objectives:

* List at least two current issues in the management of diabetes.
* Describe at least two different/opposing views related to the issues you listed.
* Describe at least one way in which the management of diabetes may change based on the finding of current literature.

Nursing Educational Objectives:
